Quick couple of thoughts on the passing of a of a Canadian legend and really whenever I say Canadian legend in reference

to Gordon Lightford I was after stop myself when you look at the accolades that came in last

night it wasn't exclusive to Canadians it was a lot of Americans, not necessarily musicians, but fans, other

artists, internationally acclaimed You know other people that have written other musicians other bands that have written songs

uh... which may have been more popular

uh... than light foot songs but i don't think that this country

has ever had or maybe will ever have,

someone whose music will endure from generation

to generation to generation. Beautiful songs, a haunting voice, which hangs on to you

as it does with me if you're a fan of Gord you know what I'm talking about here and really

intelligent lyrics as well and if you ever went to any of the live shows and I

went to probably between 50 to 60 Gordon Lightfoot shows in my career as someone that chase musicians

all across the country.

You know how people used to follow the Grateful Dead everywhere they went now the thing is, how many Bruce Springsteen shows

have you been to?

Like I know Brad Fay, our colleague here at SportsNet,

he's approaching triple digits for Springsteen,

which is remarkable.
