Okay, so I thought I'd start today with a couple of direct messages before we get to today's program and an update from the general managers meeting with Elliot Friedman coming up on the other side of this quick little intro.

So over the past couple of days I've had a couple of pretty interesting direct messages.

And as I've always mentioned, DMs are open, I communicate with people there on a regular basis.

Sometimes I get the text, sometimes I get the phone calls, sometimes I get the

DMs. One of the DMs that I got yesterday was from Ricardo Granberg.

So Granberg is a former head coach of the Swedish national team, had been coaching in Switzerland,

is someone who's interviewed for positions in the NHL behind the bench.

The two that I think I know, how is that for a line, that I think I know are Buffalo and Dallas.

He's someone that I've long maintained, should have been given a shot by now behind a bench in the

NHL but that's a conversation for another day and a topic for another day.

Hi Jeff, I thought it was interesting

that you thought the two of the most influential teams

as of late were Team North America

and the Finnish U20 team from 2016.

I mentioned that on yesterday show.

As I coached against both of these teams, I couldn't agree with you more.

We did advance from the bracket in the World Cup of 2016 by tying up

Team North America in the third period and ultimately beat them out of the

tournaments. Grandburg coached the Swedish team as I mentioned, but boy was that a great team.

Also team Finland was stacked and we lost to them in the 2016 Junior Worlds in the
