If you haven't yet watched Marco Rubio's speech to the Munich Security Conference, you need to take about a half an hour of your life and invest it in watching that.

And gentlemen, Marco Rubio continues to impress me anytime he's in public making his speech.

He just seems so able.

He doesn't seem dependent upon a teleprompter at all occasions.

Although for the Munich Security Conference, he was working from prepared remarks,

as you would expect a secretary of state and somebody

who was involved in the national security apparatus of the United States to stick to a script,

which he did.

Stephen Green, what I found interesting was that Marco Rubio found a way to say what needed

to be said about the decline of the European wing of Western civilization

without letting go of the idea that, as he said, we are a child of Europe,

and that we have a common bond.

He repeatedly referred to our common bond in Christianity, which was kind of surprising.

You know, normally people keep that kind of vague.

And at one point, Steve, he said that the United States, if we have to, we'll go it alone.

But we would much prefer to work with our longstanding allies.

And he then eviscerated the United Nations in a sentence or two.

But Steve, what he did was, I think,

mount one of the most aggressive, robust defenses of Western civilization that I've

heard in decades.

In fact, you hardly hear anybody talk about Western civilization anymore, or they collapse
