And just like that, the season is over for Kansas and Missouri.

We'll take them in order on this episode of KKHI.

And the way that they finished on a disastrous night,

there's no other way to say it.

In a season that we kind of saw this coming,

there was not much good in college basketball in the Kansas City area to speak of.

And it all culminated in one final night for the Jayhawks and the Tigers. They both had

their chances. There's no question about that. They had opportunities late in the game to make

plays and win the game and didn't do it. This after both teams played very poorly for

stretches to fall behind by double digits.

It was frustrating at every turn as you watched both these games simultaneously unfold.

Let's take the Kansas game first.

Kansas and Arkansas played one of the most entertaining first halves you'll see in the NCAA tournament this year.

You sort of knew at halftime these teams

couldn't keep up the shooting and that at some point one of these coaches was going to coach

some defense and it was going to change the complexion of this game, that it wouldn't be a

98-96 kind of game that goes to the wire and it's just wildly entertaining. It did change in the

second half. The Razorbacks came out

and they took a lead over the Jayhawks out of the locker room. They built an 11-point lead right

out of the locker room. Got up 55-44 with 17 minutes to go in this game, Bill self-used a timeout,

reset the thing. And as he reset it and they worked their way through it, Kansas
