Nothing ever lives up to the hype except March Madness, which always lives up to the hype.

And these first two days of the NCAA tournament are always two of the best days of the year.

It never fails.

It never lets us down.

It never disappoints.

And there's a damn good reason why it is the best weekend ever.

Well, to schedule that snip.

Or just kind of zone out in front of the TV for as long as you possibly can.

I'm never, ever worried about the tournament living up to the hype because it always does.

I know I'm repeating myself. I just want to be very clear on that.

It always lives up to the hype.

Now, the real question is, will the SEC live up to the hype? Because no conference has

ever ridden to the tournament on a bigger tsunami wave, a wave of hype than the SEC itself.

The 14-bid SEC. Like, to me, that's always going to sound goofy and wrong. A 14 bid conference. 14

bids. I mean, that's absurd. But it's the SEC, right? It is the SEC. It just means more.

It just means more. It just means more teams in the tournament. It's right there in their slogan.

SEC, it just means more. However, let's see if it means more tournament wins. Let's see how

these teams do with enormous targets on their backs. They're not off to a very good start,

are they? I'll say it that much. Just ask Austin. Just ask the longhorns.

Not only did Texas get bounced last night to drop the SEC to 0 and 1 in the tourney,

they're now expected to bounce their head coach as well. Not official yet, but reports are saying
