We've got exclusive details on a Biden nomination that could seriously shake up Washington's approach to big tech.

But first, a COVID relief update, this could be the big day.

As soon as today, the House will take a final vote on the $1.9 trillion pandemic aid plan, sending the package to Biden's desk for his signature.

Now, Dem lawmakers and aides are saying the vote could slip to tomorrow as Senate officials scramble to get all the paperwork in order.

But they insist a one-day delay won't have an impact

on those boosted federal unemployment checks that are set to lapse this weekend. Pelosi and her

leadership team aren't worried about having the votes for one of the biggest economic relief bills

in the history of Congress. Yesterday, the speaker shrugged off Republicans' lack of support for the

plan, saying she feels

sad for them for not recognizing the support the package has outside of the Beltway.

And she's right. It does have significant public support, including among GOP voters.

A recent morning consult poll found three out of five Republican voters support the spending package,

which includes a massive expansion of the

social safety net and $1,400 direct checks for most Americans. As we keep our eyes glued to

ceaseband over the next couple days, remember, this bill is also a gamble on the Democratic Party's

future. Not a single Republican is expected to support the measure in the House. And that gives

the GOP a fat

target for criticism ahead of 2022 when they need to flip just a few House seats to regain control of

the chamber. The other big debate in Congress right now, you won't see Republicans entertaining,

axing the filibuster. And now it looks like Joe and Joe, that is, Biden and Mansion, are not quite
