Chris is back from his hiatus on the Paracast this week.

We've got a really fascinating show with lots and lots of questions from our listeners. It's going to be a really interesting piece of information. In any case, we haven't had a chance to talk to Chris very much about the International UFO Congress. I don't know, Chris, whether you saw the newspaper story in the Arizona Republic,

which was picked up by USA Today, which may it seem like it was just a seminar and a bunch of healing sessions for people who were abducted by UFOs.

What did they miss?

Well, obviously, that kind of coverage is to be expected by a newspaper

in such a conservative place like Arizona. Unfortunately, we do have a lot of folks out there that

still haven't gotten the message that this is a serious subject. It deserves serious attention.

It deserves the powers of diagnostic hard science thrown at it.

Instead, they just go for the convenient lady molding alien heads or the guy with his implant finding device

or, you know, people that have had experiences that they can't explain and would like some sort of help with.

I find a very disingenuous

for reporters to go to an event like the UFO Congress and report a thin slice of information

about the proceedings. I felt this year that Open Minds did an excellent job. It's taken them a

little bit of time to zero in, I think, on a format in

terms of the kinds of speakers that really deserve to be listened to. You know, I did have some

exceptions. James Gilliland, for instance, is not someone that I would give more than just a few

seconds of my time. You know, I've, I joked with a few people that

anytime you see someone playing a Native American flute who's not Native American at a UFO

convention run the other way, the only people I've ever seen do that are Stan Romanek

and James Gilliland. So other than that, though, I really think that the presenters were very well chosen.
