2021. Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, the latest on

the Iowa seat in the House that Democrats are trying to win back. Number two, House Democrats are

trying to get more information about what exactly happened on January 6th.

And number three, the latest on gun control.

All right, Jake, the first story today that we're talking about is this Iowa seat that probably most people haven't heard about,

but is a big issue in the House, given the margins

and the fact that a Republican essentially has won it by, you know, a handful of votes.

Yeah, Marionette Miller Meeks is a Republican who won the seat by six, six votes. She, she beat

Rita Hart. This is Iowa's second congressional

district. And Hart is challenging the results, as you would imagine one would do if you lost by six,

by six votes. No, but it's a big, it's a big issue because now Rita Hart has taken her case

to the House administration committee, which she is within her rights to do.
