And I really wanted just to bring you up to date on what has gone wrong and where and why and what it might mean for your

weekend travel plans. So let's start, if we may, on the railways and it's been a pretty

nasty day. Lots of fallen trees have been holding things up and just looking at what they are saying in

North Wales, for instance, the line between Llandidno Junction and Blinnaifestinioch

is closed because of fallen trees. Moving further east, East Midlands Railway says, do not travel today unless absolutely essential.

We've got a line blocked between Stockport and Sheffield. That's across the Pennines.

And elsewhere, there's all kinds of problems. So if you are travelling today,

well, good luck. See if it's not absolutely essential that you travel today if your train

operator is going to offer you the opportunity to make your journey tomorrow. So a number of train companies have been saying that they are going to give some flexibility.
