it's true. They say narcissism shows up. One way it shows up is in people who think whatever

they're doing isn't quite good enough. Like their station in life just

isn't good enough. Like whatever I'm doing now, I might be okay in it, but I should be doing this.

Or I respect people who do that more than this because, and you can never get there.

So you're constantly striving. Yeah, because you always think you're, you deserve a little bit

better. Okay. Then whatever your job is, whatever you're, I'm a, because you always think you deserve a little bit better

than whatever your job is, whatever you're, I'm a student here, but I ought to be at Stanford.

Okay. You know, I have this job, but I ought to have that job. Those people are awesome.

Okay.

Even if you get to the top of your own field, then you start looking at another field, like, well, those are the really awesome people. That's a good point.

Yeah, I thought that was interesting.

Now, the Bible presents something totally different, which is called contentment,

where you would actually say, right here, where I am is good enough.

And it doesn't mean that I can't excel and maybe something will happen or whatever,

but where I am right now you know what is actually

good enough it's good enough for me tell you what if you want to be countercultural where you want to

shock people do this be content it'll freak people out they do nothing to do with that what I mean

you're okay with where you are actually will make some people mad yeah mad. Yeah, that's not an American thing. No. Yeah. It makes people mad because like, well, if you can be happy, then why

why am I striving for this so hard? They'll put pictures up of things that they want to buy,

dreams that they have, and then they'll be insulted that you're going, well, but what I have is fine.
