For the last few months in the club, we've been hearing the three-part story one more name.

And today we get to hear from the writer director behind the episode, Odyssey Veteran

Kathy Buchanan.

This episode tells the true life story of a renaissanceeer, a courageous woman who risked her life thousands

of times to rescue Jewish children during World War II.

We sat down with Kathy to talk about finding the story, how she put it together, directing

the show, and more.

Kathy, let's talk about the origin of this three-part episode one more name.

How did you come across this true story?

I was just online one day and the story came up and I read it and I thought that is so interesting,

but that can't be true because everything online isn't necessarily true.

And so I just didn't really believe that I just thought somebody made it up.

But I was intrigued by it and so I started doing some of the research about it and sure

enough, this actually happened.

I ran a sendler, existed, and did this amazing thing during World War II.

Now in a historical show like this, you have to do a ton of research, not just into the

character of a renaissanceeer's life, but also World War II.

What Poland was like, the culture, all that stuff, the Holocaust, some really difficult

stuff to wait through.
