This week, however, it won't be an article we're discussing but a whole book as the one and only Phil Hay, Leeds correspondent for the Athletic, joins us to discuss his new book. and it was beautiful, Marcelo Bielsa and the

rebirth of Leeds United.

Always fascinating to talk about Bielsa and Leeds and the impact he's had there, absolutely

incredible in such a short space of time, and there's nobody better to hear about it all

from than Phil High.

But before we bring Phil Inflour, let's talk about football in general, and I don't know if you watched it, Everton looked very good in the second half last night,

just in time for their trip to Villa Park on Saturday night.

Unbelievable goals and just a really high-tempo performance.

Not always the kind of performance that you associate with Benet's side.

Yeah, no, I thought they were shockingly good. Yeah, that Andros Townsend goal was unbelievable. He always has, what, one of those are seasons, so he's used it up maybe a bit too early, but just really, really good. And I think it's hopeful for Everton fans going forward. I mean, last season, obviously, was a bit of a false dawn under Angelotti and it kind of ended in tears.

But they're so desperate to just have a team that can be consistent across the whole season.

So, you know, I've got some friends at Everton fans.

And I'm hopeful that, you know, this could be their year to get some joy that doesn't just last a couple of months.

Think about all the money they've spent over the last few seasons,

especially on wingers and forward players.

And then it turns out actually all you needed to do was get Andrew Stans

in on a free transfer and Demari Gray for one and a half million,

who's three for three as well.
