Good how are you? I don't have any complaints at least none you really want to hear about you know the unique thing about my show is that at the beginning of each episode we have our guest walk us through the arc of their career.

And your career in the law has been fascinating.

Can you walk us through the arc of your legal career?

And how did you get into representing political campaigns?

Yeah, so I graduated law school in 1993 and came to Washington, D.C. just in time for

Democrats to lose control of the House for the first time in 40 years.

And people don't realize what a seismic shift that was in how DC operated when Duke

Gingrich took over. But there was, but one of the ways that

Gingrich did what he did was by demonizing his democratic political opponents. And it really ushered in in many respects

the modern era of politics and one of the side effects of that modern era of

politics is an increased reliance on the legal system to resolve what had

before been political disputes. So I got connected with the D-tripleC

and then the, which is the Democratic Congressional

Campaign Committee, then the Democratic Senate campaign

committee, wound up representing Democratic members of the House and Senate as well.
