People here in the great state of Michigan, for some reason, have this unbelievable

disdain for the Toronto Maple Leafs. I don't understand it. I'm not a hockey guy. You can just

say Jeff Rieger. It's fine. Yeah, but I hear Costa laughing about it. I hear Tom Milliken

here at the station laughing about it. Doug laughs about a Gator laughs about it. It's because you

know why? And Evan, maybe it's because

you're not like the hugest hockey guy. I understand that they're in Canada, yada, yada. It's not even,

I mean, maybe it's a Canada thing. And for Jeff Rieger, it is a Canada thing, local host here,

if you're not from around here. But like, Jeff is, if anything Canada happens, he roots against it. So like there's the Jets in the playoffs, there's

the Oilers in the playoffs, there's the Leafs in the playoffs, still active in the playoffs right now.

And he roots against them with every fiber of his being because they're Canadian. In fact,

the Tigers are starting a series, in a way series against the Toronto Blue Jays. And I'm pretty sure he's going to be more actively rooting for the Tigers than normal

because it's a team from Canada.

And it's funny too because I feel like he has this disdain because of their

fan base, which I mean, I guess you'd get it a little bit here in Detroit when

Toronto comes to town.

They travel very well for their team, and sometimes it's cheaper to see a game in Detroit.
