It's Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday. We with you until 6 o'clock. We've got Boomer and Gio standing by. I see their toss on a baseball in the newsroom today. It's kind of weird. Yeah, well, it's baseball season. It is baseball season. That is true. So the Mets, they moved up yesterday's game, and they moving up today's game

today's game until 410 because of how cold it is. Now also as part of that, because they moved

the games up, because it was going to be cold, because it's the middle of the week, the Mets gave

away a bunch of tickets for Tuesday and Wednesdays in games, and you had to apply to get free tickets.

Right.

And they went very quickly, as you can imagine.

Well, Steve Cohen took to Twitter yesterday to ask people to guess what percentage of the free

tickets that they gave out to people who requested them, what percentages those tickets went unused?

Those people took the free tickets and did not take those tickets to the ballpark.

It's either going to be a very high number or very low number.

All right.

Given the fact of what I saw, I'm going to say 5%.

5% went unsold or went unclaimed.

No, the 95%. Like, I don't think anybody used them. Yeah. The place was empty. Yeah, so 58 percent of the people who requested and got free tickets did not go to the ballpark. Yeah, which is such a waste. I know, and this is going to, I think he kind of actually put it out there to make it seem like, and this is why we don't give away free tickets.

Yes.

The only thing I would say, if it was 70 degrees, I don't know that that number is 58%.

I mean, you know, I give the Yankee fans, so we're watching the Yankee game on replay in the studio.

And you see there were, I'm not, there weren't 55,000 there last night by any stretch. Yeah. They had a good amount of people, though, for a 35-degree night with wind. Yeah, they did not move their game. So I give the Yankee fans a lot of credit. I'd be curious if there would have been more Met fans in the building if they actually kept it as a 7-10. It's a weird one because you're trying to move it up because it's really, really cold. I don't want to hear that the players are cold because, as you know, you've been in these major league dugouts. They have heat. They can go in the clubhouse in between innings. They got to go stand in the cold for three minutes of a half inning it's not that big a deal um it's for really the fans but when you do that and no one shows up it's almost like well what we do this for yeah so yeah i get it it's a tough one um
