Let's see. What are some of the truly innumerable ways in which I have procrastinated?

Okay, there is level one procrastination, which is like, let's check my email, let's check Slack,

let's check Reddit, let's check YouTube. Let's check YouTube. Let's check

Instagram. Let's keep looking. Why is my phone in my hand again? This is sort of your standard.

Constant background procrastination. Then there's level two procrastination. This weirdly can be

kind of useful. It is the, God, this room is really messy. I can't do this work until this room is clean procrastination. This is the indexing the windows and mirrors procrastination. It is the folding your clothes procrastination. It is the organizing your collection of travel-related coffee mugs.

It must happen now.

And finally, there is the mode of procrastination, which verges on desperation.

This is the procrastination where you do things you don't want to do that you have been procrastinating on,

so you don't have to do the main thing.

This is the making an appointment at the DMV.

This is the going to the dentist procrastination.

Anything to keep you from having to do the thing.

And it's not just me.

I think everyone knows this feeling.

You're working on something, you've got a deadline coming, you just cannot focus.

Your mind refuses to let you do the thing you need to be doing.

But what if, what if there were a place that you could go and prevent all of this madness?

A place that would keep you on track.

A place where you could not leave.

You were actually not allowed to leave until your work was done.
