Stocks were mixed on Monday. The Dow fell 6 10% percent. The S&P lost 2 10% percent,

but the NASDAQ rose a tenth of our percent.

The manufacturing sector expanded in March for the first time in almost a year and a half,

that's according to the Institute for Supply Management.

New orders increased, along with manufacturing production,

that said manufacturers shed jobs. In fact, ISM says employment has been contracting for several months

in a row. The amount of money spent on construction

projects fell in February from the month before, that's according to the

Commerce Department, spending on commercial buildings ticked down, but spending on

residential construction rose.

And on Tuesday we'll learn how many job openings were posted in February, and on Friday we'll

get the government's official employment tally for March.

Economists expect that employers added around 200,000 jobs.
