The plan for today is to talk some shop, to talk about the ins and outs of being a professional yoga teacher.

And when I use the word professional,

it demands further clarification.

Sometimes when I have spoken to people

about what it means to be a professional yoga teacher,

the idea is that you have been able to monetize what you're doing and make a living at it.

So it's not just a hobby, but you pay your way with it.

You're a professional yoga teacher.

However, I have also reflected upon that.

And it's clear to me that I've known many a yoga teacher who were consummate professionals,

who showed up on time, who were well trained and effective at what they did and took it seriously and had all the

hallmarks of what I think of as a professional, a pro at it, teaching yoga.

But they don't know how to monetize what they're doing and they're not necessarily making any
