Welcome back to another edition of Through the Smoke in Miami Hurricanes Football and Recruiting Podcast here on the 24-7 Sports Network. It's Virginia Week and things got weird on the weekly press conference with Manny Diaz.

So we're going to talk about it.

We weren't planning to open with discussion from the press conference, but I think I think we got to talk about it.

Yeah, definitely have to.

It was definitely weird.

So, Manny Diaz opened the press conference with an opening statement that started

with addressing, I guess, some of the topics that were touched on briefly on ESPN's

college game day on Saturday,

right? And basically that discussion was citing the article from Barry Jackson of the Miami

Herald. And Kirk Herb Street expanded on that article saying how he is sad about the current state of the University of

Miami. If you look at Miami's average record since 2006, they are seven and five. And he basically

says, you know, it looks like Miami does not care about football.

And he cites, again, the Barry Jackson report and says it appears the president doesn't want to devote resources to football, et cetera, et cetera.

And so Manny Diaz started the press conference, basically opening these can of

worms. And I think, you know, he made some fair points, but I think also he might have, I don't know,

he might have stepped in it a little bit, in my. So let's let's go through it and touch on,
