1997, Amy left her home in Lander, Wyoming that she shared with her 27-year-old

husband, Steve Bechtel, and then ran a few errands before ascending into the mountains to train for an upcoming 10-K race she planned to run.

Steve, who'd been out rock climbing with a friend all day, returned home and waited for Amy to arrive.

But when she didn't come home, and friends and family also claimed to have not seen her,

Steve Bechtel called the police and reported her missing.
