I'm Georgia Howe with Daily Wire, editor-in-chief John Bickley. It's Wednesday, December 4th,

and this is your Morning Wire afternoon update. A manhunt is underway in New York City after

United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot

and killed outside his hotel. Surveillance footage shows the suspect firing several rounds from a

handgun with a silencer before riding off on an e-bike into Central Park. The motive remains

unclear, but officials say the shooting was not random, and the

attack appears to have been premeditated. Here's NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch at a press conference

this morning. It appears a suspect was lying in wait for several minutes. And as the victim was

walking to the conference hotel, the suspect approached from behind and fired

several rounds, striking the victim at least once in the back and at least once in the right

calf. A $10,000 reward is being offered for any information leading to an arrest.

Bands on transgender procedures on children appear likely to prevail.

The Supreme Court heard a challenge to the Tennessee law banning these medical interventions this morning.
