So today I have the honor of talking to Rachel and Daniel from Mango Street.

So for the few people that aren't aware of your channel, what you guys do, describe it in a few words.

Well, we make photography and filmmaking tutorials that don't waste your time, and we make short films as well.

And what were you guys doing before YouTube? I was a wedding photographer.

Yeah, and I worked as a motion graphics artist at a startup.

It's been really fun to see you guys kind of blow up over the past year.

As a person who does tutorials sometimes, but also makes tech videos on YouTube,

I had a close eye on two channels this past year,

and it was Mango Street and then Peter McKinn. And it was really cool to kind of like

see you guys blow up at the same time because I think on my side of things, looking from the

outside end, there was a certain need on YouTube for certain kind of content. So when you guys

first came on the spot, what did you think you had to offer? We were like, this is missing

from YouTube? I think, so like a lot of tutorials are usually drawn out. There's like super

long intros that are maybe not always necessary.

And for me personally, I always like to just like skip ahead and get to the point.

And so that's what we wanted our tutorials.

We didn't want people to be like skipping through ours.

Yeah.

And and there wasn't a lot of photography tutorials like in our style.
