and starting with the big story at the moment at Manchester United

0:14.3

so Laurie what is going on?

0:17.1

Yes lots is going on Jamie

clearly the glazers have put the club for sale as part of their look at strategic investment opportunities and I think everyone had the perception that it would be sold.

They had two bids come in on the deadline, one from Sheikh Yasim who is connected to the Qatari state, one from Sir Jim Ratcliffe who owns

0:39.6

Inios and he was going to do it through that company. And as the days have gone on since that

point when I think it felt like it was coming to a crucial moment, the idea is that the glazers,

0:51.5

or specifically Joel and Avram, their reluctance to sell that was

0:55.7

always there, I think, has kind of become more of an issue. And yeah, we've seen the share

Before that, it was the Newcastle game when Manaldo made his second debut. So these are infrequent visits and it was really intriguing to see him position himself at this game, you know, with an idea that he is still in some way emotionally invested in Manchester United.

1:49.7

Yeah, what will investors, what will shake Justin Rackcliffe make of that?

1:54.8

Gary, the market value, I just want to ask your question on that, has dropped 1.2 billion in the last week.

2:00.3

I mean, that's on the back of people fear

2:02.0

and maybe that the glazers are going to stay out.

2:04.2

How fearful are you and Manchester United fans about that right now?

2:06.8

I think Manchester United fans are hugely fearful

2:10.2

and I think, to be fair, if anybody who was listening on Sunday,

2:12.5

there were huge renditions of we want glazers out,
