When we think back to the 90s and the emergence of Web 1.0, I remember trying to explain

to my parents what the World Wide Web is or was, right?

And it was hard.

They didn't really appreciate it until they began to use the applications on it.

And in Web 2.0, didn't follow that same path, right?

What we see in Web 2.0 is the emergence of these tech giants, these primarily social media

platforms.

You've got YouTube and Facebook and Twitter.

And they didn't adopt the same kind of standards that made interoperability possible across

social media.

And Web 3.0 is an attempt to try and change that.

I still think it's hard for most people and it's been hard for me to visualize that

future of everything being tokenized and how it changes everything.

Because we've never seen it before, it sounds correct in theory.

I guess in the ideal world going forward is your parents and my parents will use it and

maybe not even know they're using it.

What we're building is just infrastructure.

It's plumbing, right?

It's not meant to be seen.

In fact, it's successful if you never think about it.

If you have to think about it, then there's still problems.

When you put all of these pieces together, it fundamentally changes the way finance works
