Ghost Skipper

I really come across

experiences from other listeners.

I rarely come across stories about the spirits of people's pets coming back to visit them

and I have a sweet story about that that I'd like to share.

Growing up we had a yellow Labrador named Skipper.

He was a very sweet dog, albeit a little aloof.

In his old age, Skipper had severe hip dysplasia, resulting in chronic

pain and mobility issues to where he wasn't able to hold himself standing upright, let alone

walk.

He also was in the beginning stages of heart failure

and no longer showed interest in the things that he loved.

So when he was ten, my family made the difficult decision

to put him down.

Skipper was our first pet, and his loss was devastating.

About a month after he died, my brother was home from college on Christmas break, and we were up late one night about 12.30 a.m.

playing a board game in the family room downstairs.
