Summary

Something powerful happens when thousands of men leave comfort behind and unite in pursuit of God. Just under a week after attending his first MAN CAMP, Jim Burgen joins Brian on The Aggressive Life to talk about his experience—from speaking under the big tent, to conversations outside MASH, to why MAN CAMP gives him hope that masculinity is good and getting better.

Jim also shares what it means to age aggressively, why it’s important to keep doing new things, and what it takes to be a man who refuses to coast. From elk hunts, to hard workouts, to spiritual warfare, this is a no-holds-barred conversation about becoming the kind of man the world needs.

And it's like, because if that's true, like, oh, then make, all right, so maybe some new things are possible. Yeah. Welcome to the aggressive life.

my uncle. It's a nickname. He doesn't like that much,

1:27.8

which means me I want to say it. He's a good friend of mine. Been a friend of mine for many,

1:33.7

many, many years. His name is Jim Bergen. We pastor churches that have a lot of similarities

with each other. Jim met me at a very critical point in my life several years ago when I was

out west and I was on my own and I was in a bit of a pit. I was in a bit of a desert and I decided to

reach out to him and he said, just come and hang out with me. And I went out with him and man, he patched me up

and he encouraged me, he loved me. We hung out for a few days.
