Isaiah 61.

We're going to go to verse one.

And we're going to jump in for the sake of time.

It says this, Isaiah 61, reading from the NIV translation, the spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me,

because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.

I just want to remind everyone in our church

anointed you are anointed God's spirit is on your life you're like I new to church. I don't know what the anointing is.

The anointing is what's easy for you. The anointing is God's grace on your life. The anointing

is that thing that you do that just comes natural. It comes with ease. It's a part of your makeup,

your DNA. When you're writing that script, when you're coaching,

when you're training, when you're leading, when you're helping, when you're administrating,

when you're doing your accountant work, it's the grace of God on your life. The anointing is also

translated as the burden removing, yoke destroying power of God. So you have the anointing of God on your life

to destroy burdens, to remove yokes. It says the spirit of the Lord is upon me because he's

anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, come on, 2020,
