About Malori Mayor

Malori Mayor is a registered nurse, military wife to Mark, and new mom to Max! After an almost 2-year struggle with infertility, holistic treatments, and surgery for endometriosis, Malori and Mark were finally able to conceive their first child.

While going through infertility herself, she began helping others share their stories of infertility and miscarriage on her blog, and also started a podcast, Restoring Fertility Naturally.

Malori spent most of her pregnancy in Germany, where her husband was stationed with the Army, and then gave birth to Max after moving to California. In whatever little free time she has, she enjoys reading a good book, baking, and going on neighborhood walks with her little family and their German Shepherd, Zoey.

0:08.3	We are doing a birth story episode today guys.
0:12.4	So this week, Mallory came on the podcast and she told her
0:16.4	birth story. She actually took my course which is pretty cool. So just a little
0:21.8	brief synopsis of Mallory's birth story. So she struggled with
0:26.1	infertility for about two years, finally had surgery for endometriosis, and then she was able to conceive the second cycle after that surgery.
0:37.3	Had a lot of anxiety during her pregnancy which is understandable after you know dealing with infertility for so long.
0:45.0	Another kind of unique thing about her pregnancy is that two-thirds of it was
0:50.6	actually spent in a foreign country. So her husband is in the army and they
0:55.1	were stationed in Germany and so her first couple of trimesters of her pregnancy
1:00.3	were in Germany which is which is pretty interesting.
1:04.0	She ended up moving back to the United States
1:06.2	when she was about 30 weeks pregnant,
1:08.0	and so she had to find a new provider
1:10.0	and experience American maternity care after having German prenatal care and she
1:16.2	actually lived in a hotel up until she was like 40 weeks pregnant which was really stressful and just
1:25.2	something that I can't imagine even doing. Wow. So she talks about that and just
1:31.5	her experience with that with living you know in a hotel
1:34.6	basically like a few days before she gave birth and she actually ended up
1:39.4	bringing her baby home to her hotel and she kind of went into labor while she was moving into
1:46.9	her new house. So it's just a very interesting story. I'm not going to spoil the whole thing
