Okay, today we are talking with Mali Noyes and Lonnie Brunce about their very cool mission

to go ski the Whirl, aka the Wasatch Ultimate Ridge Linkup.

Now, The Whirl has gained quite a lot of attention in the trail running world as a way

for trail runners to go seriously test themselves in the summer, but it had never been done in the

winter before. And so, you know, Mali and Lani thought they ought to change that. So a few days ago,

I talked with Mali and Lonnie about their respective backgrounds,

the origins of this idea to ski the whirl.

And then from there, we really dive into a whole bunch of the planning and logistics and scouting

and spreadsheets.

Do not underestimate the importance of spreadsheets, that it will be a major takeaway of this

episode, and all the stuff that went in behind the scenes before they set out on this mission.

This is a terrific conversation with two really impressive people and two really good athletes.
