An entitled man-child screams at me at the top of his lungs, all because he booked his room

wrong at the hotel I worked at. I took just about as much as I could handle, and eventually I had

to put him in his place. Here's what happened. I was working the 3-11 last week at the hotel I work at

as I normally do, and I was all by myself as the managers had both gone home for the day,

in walks of family, who had a reservation booked through a website. I got them all checked in with

no issues and off they went. A few minutes later, they're back downstairs at the front desk,

and the man is quite upset. He said that the room type was not what he booked, and that it was too

small. He was convinced he had booked the single king suite with a whole separate bedroom,

but the room type on his reservation was actually just a regular single king room. No matter how much

I attempted to explain it to this man, he was refusing to accept it. He proceeded to yell over me,

and insist that he booked it correctly, and that there's no way his reservation was for a regular

king room. He said I was accusing him of lying, and kept demanding that I would move his room.

It was pretty obvious that this man thought he could shout me down, and intimidate me into giving

him what he wanted, because I'm a young woman who was working by myself. Eventually, I got sick of

being cut off and screamed over, so I informed him that if he did not stop screaming over me,

I would cancel his reservation and that he was welcome to find accommodations elsewhere.

I was not rude, but I was firm and made it clear that I was not going to be treated that way.

After that, he shut up pretty quickly, and attempted to find some kind of proof in his email

that he booked a one bedroom suite, and of course he couldn't do it because he didn't.

Eventually, he sulked away and made his wife do all of the talking. She was being overly sweet to me,

and said that she told her husband that he needed to leave me alone. She asked to book another room

just to have more room for their kids, so I obliged since she was able to speak to me like a human being.
