We may have unintentionally swung the pendulum on women’s rights and equality in a way that is creating unforeseen consequences for men and boys. 1:05.2	Who has it worse right now? Boys or girls? Depends which domain you're looking at. If you look at
1:10.5	how boys are doing in
1:12.1	school and college, clearly they're doing worse. In some aspects of mental health, I think it's
1:18.5	pretty clear that girls are doing worse. You've seen a recent spike in depression and anxiety among
1:23.3	teenage girls, along with a big rise in male suicide. So that's again another difference. And then when you get into the labor market, look, there's all kinds of issues that face young men and young women differently. And so right now, I think the most honest thing to do is to just say that girls and boys, young men and young women, are struggling in different ways in different domains of life. And I just can't call it right now. I don't think it's obvious. Some people think it's obvious one way or the other. I don't think it's obvious that one is suffering more than the other. I think it's more honest to say that boys and girls are struggling in different ways and perhaps at different points in their life. One thing I really want to understand about this. So for a long time,
2:00.9	it just everybody took it as self-evident that women were where we needed to target. There were
2:05.7	structural issues that were creating major problems that were. I think the way that most people
2:11.1	talk about it is there were breaks put on women and that we now live in the era where breaks have
2:16.3	been taken off. And I think a pretty typical narrative is that as we took the breaks off women,
2:21.1	we have done something bad to men and boys.
