and then you should put it in a drawer and come back to it because only if you fall out of

love with it and forget about it can you see what what's wrong with it now to improve it?

How long about cooling off? As long as I can, I mean you can't always, but if I can let it sit for two

weeks, I'm happy if I can let it sit for six months, I'm even happier. Time is this crucial

element in the creative process and I feel we sometimes we fetishize this particular skill of doing something quickly and I think that's a mistake.

We shouldn't. You shouldn't get points of being quick. You should get points for like arranging your life such that you can take the appropriate amount of time for something
