0:06.9	We're in New Cross and I'm so thrilled to have this person coming over to my house.
0:12.4	It feels very, very, well, it's an honour.
0:15.6	We've got Malala coming over, the Pakistani educational activist who was protesting from the age of 11 about the Taliban taking away the rights of girls and education in Pakistan.
0:28.6	And when she was 15, the Taliban came onto her school bus, asked who Malala was and shot her in the head. The next thing she remembers is waking
0:40.2	up in Birmingham where she had been flown over and her whole family had come for her to be
0:46.8	saved and that's where she carried on living. She wouldn't say thrown into activism because she
0:53.4	she's always been a strong advocate for female education.
0:57.7	But I think from that horrendous incident,
1:02.2	she then became world famous and also a symbol for...
1:07.6	Female education.
1:08.8	And female rights.
1:09.7	She won the Nobel Peace Prize at age of 17, the youngest winner, I think.
1:16.2	She's carried on being a huge advocate and activist for female education,
1:22.4	particularly in the face of the Taliban, which is stopping girls going to school.
1:27.4	And still is going on in Afghanistan.
1:29.5	Yeah, girls are not allowed to go to school. They're not allowed to develop their education at all.
1:35.9	And she has set up the Malala Fund to open schools for girls and to expand their horizons and
1:43.6	education.
1:44.7	Malala's coming on today to talk about her new memoir.
1:47.7	It's called Finding My Way.
