This is Notre Dame wide receiver Malachi Fields.

He's the biggest wide receiver in the draft at over 6-4-218 pounds.

You can find him on the sideline on giving these big back shoulder balls,

not very much down the field, but kind of in that 10 to 20 yard window. That's where Malachi

Fields says most of his damage. A couple of routes that I love the most, this third and five stop

route versus Boise State. He shrugged off the cornerback at the sticks, violent hands catch.

I think that was a common theme for him too, plucking these passes away from his face mask.

And then, you know, a deep post versus Purdue, 66 yards.

Now, that one stood out to me because I watched a handful of games before that against the Miami Hurricanes and then other ones against, you know, Boise State and all these guys.

And they were in his hip pocket constantly.

And so, Hey, and I think this is like a very defined wide receiver that he's going to line up on the outside.

He's going to be an X and he's going to be a contested catch threat.

Is that exactly what you saw here too? Yeah. you see the straight line speed for 4-6, 140-yard dash and you just see that on tape. What he does when he's working downfield is he does this kind of like stutter and go move because I think some of his best moments are when he slams the brakes on curl routes, which is what you reference on the first clip of the show.

And then he'll use that to actually work downfield.

So you'll see that on occasion.

And then sometimes those end up being back shoulder balls.

But he's just going to be massively just advantage-wise over the corners that he's going

to be up against because he's 218 pounds.

So he's not even skinny.

He's just like a legit big guy.

He did not have crazy production, 52 yards per game across all three seasons, but only 32

receptions in 12 games as a red shirt senior.
