Have you thought about your highs and lows of 2025?

At the end of the year, it's really natural to reflect on the past 12 months.

I know I love doing that every year.

However, this time on Through the Bible, our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, is going to point us forward to a new and wonderful day on the horizon, a day when the bright and morning star will appear.

And of course, that star is our Lord Jesus Christ. He's our Savior, the focus of the entire Word of God. I'm your host Steve Schwetz,

welcoming you aboard the Bible bus for the final Old Testament study in our five-year journey

through the entire Word of God. Now, that's something to celebrate, and we always

love to do that at the end of a five-year cycle. And it's something to look forward to as well,

as we begin a new study in Revelation in January. So as you find your spot in Malachi chapter

four, Greg and I want to share a few things that we're looking forward to in 2026.

Yes, Steve, just yesterday,

we were reflecting on what he has done in this past year. Now today, we're together looking forward. And what we know, based on decades of history through the Bible, is that 2026 is

going to be a great year. There's going to be

awesome things are going to happen, not because of us, because we're so smart. Yeah, and it's not

the power of positive thinking. You don't get all weird that way, but it's because we know God is

faithful. And we've seen it year after year after year. And I think as I look forward, I see God doing explosive new things in Africa.

We're seeing him do new things in Latin America. We're seeing him do new things in even Western Europe.

Yes. And that's just what we know. And part of what I've also learned in my journey here through the Bible is that the part that I think I know is usually like the tip of the iceberg. And so we're excited about the coming year. Yeah. And the way partners are going to continue to work and build. And yes, it's just every year, every January, we look forward. Yes. And it's exciting. Now one thing we know is going to happen this year, Steve, is that we are going to begin on April 3rd of 2026, the 12th five-year airing of Through the Bible here in North America. Yeah, it's amazing. And I always look forward to those people who write in and say, I've been on it since the beginning, the 12th year.

That's going to be a diminishing group of people on that bench.

But, man, it's so cool to see God's faithfulness in allowing this ministry to continue for what is now going in in its five-year form.

It's 56th year.
