Summary

Do you need to learn to honor God’s authority over all aspects of your life? Like every good parent, God is a Father who needs to be respected if you are to learn, grow, and mature. As you learn to honor God’s authority you then become healthy both in and under human authority. This makes you a better Christian, spouse, parent, child, employee, and leader so that your life is blessed by God and a blessing to others.

0:17.1	It's the last book of the Old Testament.
0:19.2	Little book we're going to spend about six weeks studying.
0:22.4	And it is God's final written word to His people.
0:26.3	It's the last thing that He has to say, preparing them for the first Christmas in the coming of Jesus,

0:35.1	And so it is kind of like an audit.
0:37.5	It's an examination.
0:38.7	It's an investigation.
0:40.5	And it's one of the three major themes of Scripture.
0:43.7	So as you read the Bible, and we'd encourage you to be reading the Bible,
0:47.2	there are three major themes.
0:48.9	One is sin and how God forgives sin.
0:51.3	One is suffering, and that's how God helps those who are hurting.
0:54.3	And one is stewardship.
0:56.0	And that's really the theme that we'll be studying today.
