Hey moms, this is Heidi St. John.

You know lately I've been thinking a lot about heaven.

And I remember my grandmother, I'm sure that those of you who are listening to me, everyone

can think of someone that they have lost and who has gone on before them to heaven.

And my grandma, when she was living, she used to talk to us a lot about the book Revelation.

Now I know that there are lots of different opinions and different perspectives as to eschatology

and when the Lord will return and all those things, but I don't want to talk about any

of those things today.

I just want to read a passage from Revelation that has ministered to me over the years because

as Christians we have a hope, don't we?

We don't grieve, like other people grieve.

We grieve as people who know that someday we will be reunited with the people that we love

and that we will be reunited with the Lord Himself.

And in Revelation we see John talking about the new earth and I love this verse in Revelation

214.

It says they will be his people.

He's talking about the people who are going to go to live with God in the New Jerusalem

and it says they will be his people and God Himself will be with them and be their God.

He will wipe every tear from their eyes.

There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain for the old order of things has

passed away.
