We've been talking about the honours throughout the day.

Former England football manager, Garris Southgate, actor Stephen Frye, both knighted,

Sadiq Khan's got a knighthood, Andy Street, the former West Midlands Mayor's got a knighthood,

the Labour MP Emily Thornbury's got a damehood.

Libby, what did you think of the list today?

Well, I think that's Sadiq Khan, why on earth should he be knighted when knife crimes up by 61% and

council taxes are up? I'm not, also not terribly impressed by Stephen Fry, never have been,

but on the other hand, Gareth Southgate, very good, Anne Reid, very good, Sarah Lancashire, excellent,

and all the sub-postmasters. But I always think the

point of the honours system actually happens in the bit we don't report, which is down among the

MBs, you know, and the lesser OBs, of people you've never heard of who have just done great

things in communities. If you ever go to an honours ceremony, that's what's so moving. You know, suddenly,

you know, services to midwifery for 70 years or whatever. It's, it's, those are the ones you

care about, you know, not the Slebs. Yes, I'm sorry to hear you are not pro-S Stephen Frye, but I do agree
