I thought that now that we are officially past the month of resolutions and starting new

everything, it would be a good time to talk about creativity.

For me, creating space for creativity is one of the reasons we edit out the crap that doesn't matter, because creativity is a source

of nourishment in so many ways. Creativity is crucial, especially during challenging times,

and right now is a challenging time for many people.

And to be clear, I'm not saying creativity is crucial as a form of escaping or avoiding the

world's problems, although no knocks on periodic escapism as a coping mechanism.

But I feel like it is a way to intentionally put your energy in a place

of your choosing that will fill you up. You know me, I am all about the power of agency

and finding light in your sphere of control. It's also important to note that making room for

creativity is not all about making things.

I want to be clear that this episode is not about pressure to become amazing at some kind of craft.

Consuming creativity is equally important and nourishing.

And for example, if you're doing something like going to a museum or a local

performance, you're also fueling efforts in your community for multi-dimensional impact,

which is my very favorite. So I think as a fun exercise, after you listen to this episode,

you might wish to try brainstorming ways to connect with creativity across different modalities
