hanging out together today and I wanted to bring up a very hotly debated thing that is going on

in the ceramic craft world.

And this is what it is.

It's the word, or do I say words, hand building?

That's right.

I'm wondering, how do you write out hand building?

Do you do it as some do where it is hand space building?

Or do you put it with a hyphen, hand, hyphen, building?

Or do you do hand building, all one word?

Wow.

What's really interesting, you know, you do a little bit of research about it, and if you type

in all three of those separately by themselves, you find that there is no definite consensus as to how

it is supposed to be done. In fact, one potter actually has an article written about hand-building,

and they have in the title methods of clay handbuilding

techniques and it's hand hyphen building and then in the very first sentence it's got in
