WFRV TV, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, or the DNR, is going to pay over $100

a bushel for red and white pine cones. The cones must be properly

collected and they will go toward the DNR's reforestation program. According to Jeremiah R,

a DNR Forest Regeneration Specialist, quote, the DNR supply of red pine seed has been depleted

due to the lack of good cone crops over the past couple of years.
