So yesterday we talked about using them in the kitchen. Let's talk now and this I'm really an experience with Rosalie so I'm going to lean on you here but this would be you know using these herbs

weeds etc to make some kind of medicinal product for use of course for your health.

Yeah yeah this is a fun one because it can be surprising how easy it is to turn weeds into medicine.

And for many people who've never done it before, it can also be really surprising and fun to see how effective those things are as well.

So I'll talk about different herbal preparations and we can also be talking about some of these herbs that we've been talking about in the past week as well.

So one of the easiest ways to turn weeds into medicine is by making a tea.

And for the most part, when we make teas, we use dried plant materials so you dry the plants and then you make a tea out of them.

There's exceptions but that is a way to do that and you can make tea pretty much any plant.

There's going to be better tasting teas than others though,

Nettle tea is a one that's used a lot.

And you can make nettle tea with just a little bit of nettle or you can make it with a lot of nettle.

Say one ounce of dried nettle leaf to a quart or 32 ounces of water and when you do that and you steep it for a long time you're really getting all of those nutrients out of it.

So that's a really common preparation for Nettle.

Sometimes for people, it can be a little strong tasting.

It just has a very strong green taste.

It's not profoundly bitter anything.
