I'm going to stop and treat myself, and I'm going to go to my local Dunkin' Donuts,

and I'm going to pick me up a coffee.

I love that strategy.

Okay. So she gets in line, orders what she needs, gets up to the drive-through window, and the clerk says,

oh, here's your total. And she notices it's way more than it typically should be. And so she's like,

why is it so much higher? And she says, well, the guy that was in front of you in the drive-thru line, he said that you were going to pay for his order.

That's ingenious.

No, it's not.

Instead of paying it forward, which is when you like get told, hey, the person in front of you paid for your meal.

Right.

You keep it going and you pay for the person behind you and they pay for the person behind me. This is being called paying it backward. Yeah, I love that.
