Hello and welcome to episode number 985 of the Potter's cast.

I told you about last weekend where we had a show that we did for my wife's ceramics,

Amblewood Studio.

But I wanted to tell you a funny story that happened there.

And it kind of reflects what I did about five or six years ago when I was at the store

anthropology. You know, one of the classic things that we do as, you know, makers, especially if

you're kind of in the know, even if you're not a maker,

maybe just a collector.

Let me change that.

Not just, but if you're a collector, then, then you kind of approach ceramics a little

bit differently than most people do, like, you know, regular people will come up and they'll pick up a cup

and that's good enough. But if you are kind of in the know, one of the things that we do quite often,

as you know, because I'm sure you do the same thing, you pick the cup up and you look at the

bottom of it to see what the bottom looks like.

And as I told you this story years ago, this is what I did at anthropology.
