Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen. Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for. In John

Chapter 5, Jesus met a paralyzed man at the pool of Bethesda. The poor man had been waiting for almost 40 years,

practically a lifetime, to get into the water and be healed.

And Jesus did heal him.

But he didn't just heal him.

He also told him to rise up and carry his mat. It wasn't enough for Jesus simply to heal him, and it wasn't

enough for the man to show that he could stand, walk, and move. Jesus commanded him to carry his cot, his sick mat,

his stretcher, told him to carry around the symbol

of his

God.
