It is part four. Part one and part two were Luther. These are the 12 makers of the modern mind,

the 12 men who put

together kind of account for how we think. There are people who are very influential, but as far as

taking a Venn diagram of not super overlapping circles, the other ones would be overlapping somewhat.

Luther, from what I could get, the Luther part was because you would be saved by faith alone.

kind of subjective morality according to Neil, I think, if I got that right. Then part three,

and now part four is Calvin with the Protestant work ethic of which I was definitely raised with,

Neil says that Calvin wouldn't like it,

but the way it got morphed into today is kind of justifying the anything goes kind of financial capitalism,

like all the way to, what do they call it,

homo-economicus? So we are up to the second part of Calvin, and I assume that's where

he's, Neil is going to bring it home. Like, yes, this is the influence Calvin had on the modern
