Welcome to our Rosary and Merry Christmas.

Let's begin by calling to mind

that wherever in the presence of Almighty God

in whom we live and move and have our being.

We call upon him in the name of the move and have our being.

We call upon him in the name of the Father

and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Our rosaries entitled Make Ready.

It's Christmas Eve as Advent drew to its close we heard at mass readings that point to

St. John the Baptist. Why? Because his role was to prepare the way of the Lord. This is what we're called to do even now and continually.

St Luke says of him,

he went into all the region about the Jordan,

preaching a baptism of repentance

for the forgiveness of sins,

as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the Prophet, the voice of one crying in the

wilderness, prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be brought

low. This invitation is a loud call to humility which John shouts both with voice and deed. A heart filled with

self-centered desires can't be filled with God. Therefore. Therefore, the valley of our deficiencies must be filled with love.

The mountains of our vanities and attachments must be made low through humility.

This is the purpose of John's message
