Brand new federal charges filed against a suspected gunman in the White House correspondent's

dinner shooting. Cole Allen, a 31-year-old teacher and engineer

from California, is now charged with attempting to assassinate the president.

That's a crime that could bring him life in prison.

He's also facing two other firearms charges.
