Summary
In this episode of the Flipped Lifestyle Podcast, we're diving into the world of urban herbology with our special guest, Lynn Shore! Lynn, an expert herbalist based in Amsterdam, takes us on her journey of moving from England to the Netherlands and immersing herself in the art of urban foraging and herbal medicine. Lynn has turned her passion for urban herbology into a thriving hybrid course that combines online learning with in-person experiences, showing how you can take even the most niche interests and create a vibrant business around them.
We discuss Lynn's unique approach to marketing, exploring ideas for expanding her reach, growing her online presence, and connecting with more students interested in the healing power of nature right in the heart of the city. Plus, Lynn shares an exciting upcoming project—a research initiative where she'll attempt to live solely on foraged food for an entire month! This one-of-a-kind challenge opens up incredible opportunities for content creation, storytelling, and audience engagement.

| 0:42.5 | All right. Let's get started. What's going on, everybody? Welcome back to the Flipped Lifestyle podcast. It is great to be back with you again this week. I'm also here with my co-pilot. Jocelyn's in the house. What's up, everyone? We could not, we both had to be here for this one because this is one of the most fascinating niche markets. That's one thing I love about FlipLifestyle is it's not your normal run-of-the-mill. I do X, Y, Z or Z for our guest today. But our guest today is Lynn Shore. |
| 0:51.3 | Hey, Lynn, how are you? Hi, Lynn, how are you? Hi, I am great. Good to see you both. How are you? We love your accent already. We love accents around here. Yeah, when we saw your email, we were like, oh, yay, she has a fun accent. Let's get her on the show. That's how you get on the podcast, people. If you just have an accent from somewhere else, just say, I have an accent. Don't even tell us what you're doing or anything else. But now, where do you live at right now? I live in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. And you're from England? Is that where you're from? Yeah, that's right. Yeah, I moved over here about 20 years ago, just on a whim, really. Much to be, yeah. We have a Europe trip like as a goal, right? But it's, it's, we've been waiting for our kids to get old enough to appreciate it. |
| 1:31.1 | Because they're 13 and 15 right now. |

| 1:38.6 | I don't care what's happening around me mode. |
| 1:40.6 | So I want to make sure that they have like the core memories implant deeply when we |
| 1:44.9 | actually fly over there. I have been to England before. I've been to London. I've also been to |
| 1:50.7 | Germany. So I've been to Europe a couple of times. Nice. You've been either side of me. Do you just |
| 1:56.3 | get on a train and just go to different countries all the time? Like does that happen? Or do you just |
| 1:59.7 | kind of say put? You know, I really thought I would do that when I moved over, but no, life just kind of takes over. This year, I've traveled a bit more. I've been over to see my family more in the UK. And, you know, to begin with, you hope you're going to do it every six weeks and you'll be off all over. But no, I do see quite a few places, but no, not as many as I'd hope. |
| 2:20.1 | I imagine it's like living in America because like, I think that when I talk to people from other countries, they're always like, oh, man, you've been to Nevada and stuff, right? And I'm like, that is very far away from me. I mean, yes, we have, but it's not like a place that we visit frequently. |
| 2:35.5 | There's like half the states we've probably not been to. |
| 2:38.4 | So that's just the way it is. |
| 2:39.7 | All right. |
| 2:40.0 | So your Instagram is very interesting. |
| 2:41.7 | It says you are a herbologist, urban forager, rider, and druid. |
