Amen. Amen. Thank you, Gage. I do firmly believe that our sons will be best friends. I don't think

there's another duo with cooler names than them, Griffin and Maverick. So thankful to both of our

wives, I think, for coming up with those names. Y'all, I love getting to be here. Like Gage said,

I get to be our youth pastor, so I get to hang out with six through 12th graders at things like Wake, which we had this week, which was awesome. If you're involved with it, it was super fun. And we have Youth Weekend and all of these things coming up. So make sure you're leaning into that. If you're a student, if you haven't come to something before, we'd love to meet you. We would love to serve you. But I am so excited when I get opportunities to do this. Not because, oh, it's more important because it's the big stage, that's not true. Every time somebody gets on stage, whether it's at a youth event or one of our men's or women's gatherings or this Sunday, we firmly believe whoever it is up here is stepping in a moment that we are dependent on the Holy Spirit to speak through us. And so, yes, I've prepared and I've studied and I'm called to be in this spot. But I just want to invite you, lean in.

Like, if you're like me, truthfully, I stay here every Sunday. I love listening. Like, I love learning from these situations. I love sitting in the crowd. But I'm a little antsy. I get a little antsy and I'm like, okay, how long this is going to take? I got to kind of try to focus in a little bit, a little ADHD. And so the way that I've found, and I just want to encourage y'all to do this,

this whole time, be asking the Holy Spirit, okay, I'm hearing what he's saying, would you make that impact my life? As soon as it becomes practical in your life and you start, okay, how could that connect? What situation could that be talking about in me? I just find that I get to lean in a little bit more. And so as Gage

you're saying, I think we have one of, if not the best kids ministries ever. I'm so excited

that we get to watch our sons grow up together here. It's quite a party. I love that we have

such an awesome community here. I'm super thankful for just everybody that's involved with that. But y'all, parenting is weird. If you're a parent in the room or going to be a parent soon, let me just tell you that it's weird. I was more emotional at his one year birthday than I was when he was born. I don't know if that was more real or he was, you know, showing some emotion. I don't know what it was, but I was a little more emotional. And so I just, I get excited and I truly am honored to be the youth pastor here because I love getting to watch young lives be formed into the image of Christ. I loved the decisions they get to make and all these different things, seeing how their life matters. That's what we talked about this past Wednesday at wake of how Jesus is the best option. There's no option that can really be called life. And when

you follow Jesus, everything is on the table, doesn't matter what it is in your life. And so

it's been fun to see just our kids ministry, our youth ministries develop. And as I'm slowly starting

to walk into potentially thinking about maybe

starting to parent because he's becoming a toddler and I'm seeing the beginnings of temper tantrums,

it's been quite an adventure. If you're a sign language expert, just go with me here. We don't

know quite if this is right, but we're trying to teach Maverick a little sign language. And so we've

got him all done. Our all done is jazz hands,

double jazz hands. I think that's right. I'm not positive, but he's starting to pick it up.

We want him to know it and to do it in the context of he's eating and he's done eating,

so all done. But he clearly is smart because he understands the concept really well in that he thinks whatever's

happening at the moment will finish if he does all done. So he understands the idea of all done

really well. But if you didn't know this for a one-year-old, laying on their back and getting

their diaper changed is the equivalent to waterboarding. It's psychological torture. It's just the

...
